1. Has the Department designated a member of the SMS to implement the provisions contained in Part VI E of Chapter 1 of the Public Service Regulations, 2001? If so, provide her/his name and position. 2. Does the Department have a dedicated unit or has it designated specific staff members to promote the health and well-being of your employees? If so, indicate the number of employees who are involved in this task and the annual budget that is available for this purpose.

1) The Sub-directorate: EHW is dedicated for Health and Wellness of Employees. 2) The unit comprises of two (2) employees and is supported by an EHW Service Provider Lyra (formerly ICAS) from February 2022, rendering Psycho-Social Counselling 3) The estimated budget for the EHW programme is R290 000.00 1) A Health Programme has been implemented, focusing on the implementation of the National Health Calendar. 2) Additional awareness / intervention programmes are implemented based on identified themes from services requested by employees, as well as themes based on the psycho-social (counselling) programme. General Health Screening, including HIV/AIDS (HCT) programme to resume during 2024/25 financial year.
