Department of Education -Southern Region •

Presentations for the grade 12 learners on importance of water services, using water wisely and information about career opportunities in the water sector. • The strategic engagement with the DWS Deputy Minister, The ELM Executive Mayor and Rand Water Chairperson as part of the ongoing stakeholder engagement and public participation commitments, aimed at ensuring robust and effective communication regarding the establishment of the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV). • To empower and enable the elders to act as catalysts on behalf of both Rand Water and Joburg Water in disseminating information and encouraging good habits in their respective areas of influence. • To highlight knowledge-sharing and collaboration, through the Section 63 Project in ELM, and exchange expertise that can strengthen international partnerships in sanitation solutions. • The inter-departmental partnership (Water Wise Education Team and Rand Water Young Professionals) collaborated to disseminate water conservation messages and practices to the learners with teachers from all nine (9) provinces. To profile Rand Water as a people centred organisation To encourage the CPF to understand the water conservation and importance of payment for water services as well as protection of water infrastructure. • •

The participating schools gained access to the Water Wise Educational programmes.

Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM), SALGA GP, hosted the Deputy Minister on progress of Section 63 Project. •

Stakeholders briefed about the developments in ELM Special Purpose Vehicle.

Meals on Wheels, City of Joburg and Elderly Water Wise Education Workshop and walk-about for fitness lifestyle. •

Enhances Rand Water’s influence and encouraged activism with the Communities on conservation of environment and water.

Delegation from Nigeria

The advancement through strengthened international partnerships, enhanced knowledge sharing, and collaborative expertise, ultimately contributing to sustainable conclusive development within the water services sector. The programme afforded about 400 learners from 9 Provinces the opportunity to share water challenges, experiences and possible solutions whilst increasing their understanding of sustainable water services. Putting the need of protecting Rand Water infrastructure in the radar of community safety. envisaged
