3-day Inseta Strategy yields positive results

As a progressive leader, you know that you have the power to transform anything at any time and that through a well-developed process you can create anything that you want to see for your people or for your organization.

In my 100 days in office report, I reported that I had made great efforts to engage with all staff regularly and have acquainted myself well with the various divisions. I was pleased with the level of professionalism that existed in the organisation. At that time, it would have been limited for me to make a pronouncement about the state of the organisational culture however, there was an urgent need to ensure integration and cooperation amongst the divisions so that there is improved teamwork. A survey was undertaken in the previous quarter and the overall staff morale had improved and through the new leadership, the staff expressed appreciation that Management was more responsive and open. In taking this further the more we facilitated strategic planning meetings, the more we recognised the challenges that you face as a leader who is wanting to create change and a develop a new future for your organisation. The team spent three days out of the office to ensure we align ourselves with the organisational strategy to enable us to fulfil our skills development mandate. We were very fortunate to have our Board Chairperson, Mr Sihle Ngubane join us on our first day and pledge his full support as we were ready to engage in robust discussions and innovative ideas to take the Seta forward.

Larona consulting, a leading change management company we were able to work through inherited problems that plagued the Seta previously to open and honest dialogue. As painful as the process were for the staff, the golden thread of working together to build a better and more productive Seta was woven in our communications.
