Practices harmful to women and girls that are grounded in discrimination and associated with ‘tradition’. Form of trafficking that targets women and girls – in particular, but not limited to, those in the most disadvantaged positions. A person who prefers another gender than their birth gender and feels the need to undergo physical alterations to the body to express this feeling, such as hormone treatment and/or surgery. A person who is emotionally and psychologically feels that they belong to the opposite sex.
