Current Demand from IVRS Rand Water’s demand from the IVRS is monitored monthly against the projected demand provided by Rand Water for the operating period commencing 1 May to 30 April of each year. The projected demand and monthly variation are based on historical patterns and is compared with the actual demand. For the 2022/23 operating year, the average abstraction for potable water production was 4 811 Mℓ/d. This was 2.9% lower than the high-demand scenario and 9.7% higher than the low-demand and Project 1600 scenario.
