The Premier Social Cohesion Games were hosted during the ¿ nancial year through the following ¿ ve games: Legends Football games on 14 April 2019 at the Westbury Union Stadium. A total of 701 people (289 male and 412 female; of which 467 were youth; and 234 were elderly) participated in these games. Woman Day Project was held on 9 August 2019 at Brakpan Stadium. The purpose was for young girls and women in sport to celebrate the role played by women in the liberation of our country, their equal status in society and in access to sport. DSACR hosted the Springbok Seminar at the University of the Witwatersrand on 18 July 2019 as part of the Premier Social Cohesion Games. A total of 30 community (15 male and 15 female) coaches took part. A total of 330 girl development players (u14, u15 and u17) from the communities of Mamelodi, Stanza Bopape, Soshanguve, Tswaing,

Atteridgeville, Eersterust and Vuka schools attended the coaching clinic organised by the Blue Bulls Rugby Union (BBRU) facilitated by the schools high- performance coaches. The Golden Lions hosted the Springbok Coaching Seminar at the University of the Witwatersrand on 18 July 2019, with a total of 154 (144 male and 10 female) attendees. Girl Child – Mini World Cup was hosted by the department for 16 u/11 girls on 8 August 2019 at the Chris Barnard Sport Grounds in Benoni. This year honoured the hosting of the ¿ rst Rugby Africa Women’s Cup that also played at the World Cup Quali ¿ er (selection of provincial and national winners). Countries attending this prestigious event were South Africa, Kenya, Uganda and Madagascar that played tag rugby in the colours of the 16 world cup teams which formed part of the Gauteng Premier Social Cohesion Games.
