Regarding the Management Performance Assessment Tool (MPAT), the Department has built a dedicated and qualified team, with a strong accountability base resulting in good practice in relation to performance. Appropriate systems have been established to ensure that the implementation of MPAT is an ongoing process and an improvement plan based on the identified weaknesses will be developed to track the status of the progress on a regular basis. The state of MPAT readiness is a standing item at the monthly Senior Management Team meetings where the HOD is the chairperson.
