Rand Water ensures that the quality of reports produced (quarterly and annually) enables stakeholders to make informed decisions. It aims to adhere to the disclosure requirements as required by the JSE, King IV, Water Services Act and all relevant legislation and codes that Rand Water abides by. Rand Water’s IAR is prepared in line with International Integrated Reporting Council’s Integrated Reporting Framework (IIR). Rand Water’s AFS complies with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). It is audited by the AGSA to ensure that they represent the correct financial position of the organisation. The Board is the focal point of governance, overseeing strategic implementation and compliance, and holding regular/ statutory meetings for effective oversight. To that end, the Board continues to adhere to the principles of the King IV Report which was adopted in the 2016/17 financial year, Board Charter and the Committee’s Terms of Reference. The Board reviews the organisational performance on a regular basis through the quarterly and annual reports that are submitted to the Shareholder (DWS). The Board comprises a diverse and independent mix of members, including 12 Non-Executive Directors and one (1) Executive Director (GCE), 46% of which constitutes females.
