• Effective engagement with Government stakeholders is critical for the future success of Rand Water and its sustainability to stay abreast of, contribute to, and comply with actual and planned Government policies that impact and regulate the industry, in all provinces where we operate. • Rand Water engages with the two (2) tiers (National and Provincial) of Government departments and their appropriate portfolio committees on our organisational performance. • We have a commitment as espoused in our Media Relations Policy to cooperate with all local, national and international media. • In the interests of transparency, we diligently respond promptly and professionally to every media enquiry. • We fully understand the importance of keeping the consumers informed, and the public in general, of our operational performance. • Our social media platforms, and public service announcements in the media are utilised to keep consumers and the public informed. • We are aware of the leading role we play in the water sector, as well as the technical and scientific experience that we have acquired, and we collaborate in workshops and other symposia with our national and international water sector partners.
Rand Water ensured uninterrupted potable water supply in its area of supply spanning in 4 provinces namely, Gauteng, Free State, Mpumalanga and North West under the leadership of National and Provincial Government.

Rand Water prioritised transparent and effective communication by strengthening stakeholder confidence and fostering greater public understanding of our operational activities and strategic importance within the water supply value chain. The organisation ensured the dissemination of accurate, timely, and relevant information to diverse audiences across the country. R91 million spent in enhancing the lives of communities where we operate. Through strategic partnerships, we provide clean drinking water and dignified sanitation, promote water use efficiency awareness, support education, and generate jobs through land care initiatives. Rand Water’s strategic partnerships within the water sector and beyond have been instrumental in driving innovation, enhancing operational efficiency, and expanding service reach. Through collaborative initiatives with government entities, municipalities, regulatory bodies, and industry stakeholders, the organisation has strengthened water security by aligning infrastructure development and resource planning; enhanced technical capacity through knowledge exchange, and shared expertise; improved service delivery by coordinating efforts to address supply challenges and infrastructure maintenance, and fostered stakeholder trust through transparent engagement and shared accountability. Rand Water was able to compensate all providers of Finance with returns. Rand Water maintains long term interest-bearing debt instruments such as Bond holders. The company paid R368 million interest expense during the period under review.

• Rand Water regularly engages with domestic and international institutional stakeholders, funds and asset managers and analysts through a comprehensive Investor Relations Plan. • The plan includes meetings with executive management, investor roadshows, and presentations to the investor community, amongst other initiatives that are deemed necessary to keep investors abreast of developments at Rand Water.
