OUR GOVERNING PRINCIPLES Rand Water is primarily governed by the Water Services Act, which commands Rand Water to adopt a policy statement that should at least fit within the parameters set out in Section 39 of the Act. Rand Water continues to maintain policy creation, adoption, review and implementation for each regulated business area to ensure compliance with the regulatory requirement and alignment to our strategic objectives. In the financial year 2024/25, we committed to continuous assessment of policies impacting our stakeholders to ensure that our policies are effective and contributing to strategic decision-making and risk mitigation.
