This is another safeguard that Rand Water implemented to reinforce customers’ confidence that the water they receive from Rand Water is indeed safe for human consumption. The organisation subjects itself to an independent review system to assess the quality of water supplied to Water Services Authorities via an independent external party. During the current financial year (July 2024 to June 2025), Aquatico Laboratory was used. The results obtained by the reviewers as assessed against SANS 241 indicate that Rand Water has delivered safe and wholesome water to its customers during the financial year under review.
