INFRASTRUCTURE HIGHLIGHTS Eikenhof Flexibility Project

• Optimise the operation and utilisation of pump sets during isolations. • Endeavour to ensure Peak Day Pumping Demand is met. • Minimise disruptions to water supply for the customers. The revised estimated project completion date is February 2026 with only the electrical work; automation work and minor civil works being finalised. Progress thus far has enabled the pumping station to be 100% flexible with Engine rooms 2 and 3 having 100% flexibility.

The project entails design, manufacturing, supply, delivery, installation, commissioning and putting into service of 14 new suction and delivery header isolation valves and one (1) flow control valve complete with associated pipework and pipe specials at Rand Water Eikenhof Pumping Station. The installation will benefit Rand Water by: • Creating pumping flexibility to allow isolation of at least one (1) half of the Engine room pump sets to carry out required maintenance work on pump sets while continuing the supply through the other half.
