Actual dominance of one sex in a particular occupation or the higher share of one sex relative to the expected share. The distribution of workers across and within occupations, based upon demographic characteristics, most often gender. Women workers who are 40 years of age or older and are in a threshold when employees might perceive those opportunities for training and development at the workplace seem less available to them.
