Socio-Economic Study of Gambling in Mpumalanga was Conducted

In keeping with the objective of promoting responsible gambling, liquor trade and consumption in the Province, the MER rolled out Education and Awareness Programmes. Entity sustained partnership with Miss Mpumalanga, an initiative that continues to create a pool of societal role

models to drive our social mobilisation campaigns against the unintended consequences of gambling and liquor in the province The entity continues to build expertise in the area of

technology, devoting more resources to this area so that it regulates effectively and provide advice to government on the implications of technological change and innovation. MER continues to collaborate with various stakeholders

in the Province, with a view to minimise harm and ensure compliance with all applicable legal prescripts pertaining to the gambling and liquor industries in Mpumalanga
