Overview of Performance of Mpumalanga Chamber for the 2023/24 Financial Year During the 2023/24 financial year, the Mpumalanga Chamber successfully facilitated its planned Chamber meetings, thereby achieving its set targets. Post Provisioning and Norms (PPN) During the period under review, the Employer and the Employee parties had meaningful consultations on the 2024 PPN and the pool of posts to be distributed. Two indicative budget meetings were held on 15 June 2023 and 10 August 2023. The parties held two PPN consultative meetings on 06 September 2023 and 13 September 2023 where they reached consensus on a pool of 32 637 posts approved by the MEC to be distributed to schools by the Head of Department. The Employer presented four reports on the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework processes on post-provisioning norms, which were adopted and ratified by the Chamber meetings held on 21 July 2023, 22 September 2023, 12 December 2023 and 25 March 2024. Employee Health and Wellness (EHW) During the period under review, the Employer presented four reports on the implementation of the employee wellness programmes to the task team meetings. The reports covered employee health and wellness/teacher well-being programmes that were implemented, the advocacy campaigns on EHW/Teacher well-being marketing and motivational sessions. The Employer further reported that they addressed cases or problems related to relationships, substance abuse, defaulting in HIV and AIDS, care and support. Safety in Schools The Employer presented three reports on the implementation of programmes on safety in schools to the task team meetings and four reports were presented in the Chamber meetings. The Employer reported on partnerships with the
