Mechanical & Electrical Repairs at Leeuwkuil wastewater treatment plant

Contract Description:

Mechanical and electrical repairs for the functionality of the wastewater treatment plant–Inlet works (repairs of mechanical & and coarse screens, Grit Classifier, conveyance, and gearbox.

Project Progress

All mechanical & and electrical repairs for the inlet are 100% completed.

Project name

Mechanical & Electrical Repairs Sebokeng Wastewater Treatment Plant

Contract Description:

Mechanical and electrical repairs of Head of works, Primary settling tanks, Bioreactor, Settling Tanks, and Chlorine Systems. Both inlet works and primary settling tanks for Modules 3 and 4 are 100% complete while the chlorine system is 50% complete. Module 5 BNR is 100% complete while the chlorine system is 100 % complete.

Contract Description:

Construction of 4.7km of 900mm HDPE Rothdene pump station rising main.

Project Progress

Project status: 100% complete.

Project completion date: 12 December 2022. The next phase of s63 intervention will focus on the construction of capital projects to increase the capacity of the sanitation infrastructure for current and future demands.
