1. STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY FOR PERFORMANCE INFORMATION AND CONFIRMATION OF ACCURACY FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2023

In line with the applicable regulatory prescripts, the Director of Civil Aviation (DCA) is responsible for the preparation of the SACAA’s performance information and judgements made in this report. In addition, the DCA is responsible for establishing and implementing a system of internal control designed to provide reasonable assurance as to the integrity and reliability of the outlined performance information. In our opinion, the performance information outlined in this report fairly reflects the actual achievements

against planned objectives, indicators, and targets as per the strategic and annual performance plans of the SACAA for the year ending 31 March 2023. The Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA) audited the SACAA’s performance information for the year ending on 31 March 2023. The AGSA’s report is presented on pages 159 to 166 of this document. The SACAA’s Board of Directors has approved the performance information of the SACAA, set out from pages 49 to 61.
