Current ratio

Target met. Current liabilities increased at a higher rate than current assets. Longer-dated term deposit investments aided the increase of Cash and cash equivalents. Current liabilities increased as result of Trade payables due to DWS as per the Debt Relief Programme. The other increase is attributable to interest bearing borrowings, which have been reclassified to current liabilities, as Rand Water draws closer to the RWL26 bond redemption due in less than 12 months.

The set target was exceeded. Revenue outperformed its set target. Revenue that previously could not be recognised in line with IFRS 15, has now been recognised as Rand Water managed to conclude debt settlement agreements.
