Meetings 4 (and 1 strategic briefing workshop) Attendance 92% Mandate, Roles and Responsibilities The Committee has been established by the Board to oversee, monitor and report on behalf of the Board, on Rand Water’s ethics, the impact of Rand Water’s corporate social responsibility activities, sustainable development, transformation initiatives and management of stakeholder relations with due regard to relevant legislative requirements and prevailing codes of best practice. Key Activities Undertaken during the 2024/25 Financial Year The Committee reviewed and recommended the following reports: • Report of the Group’s Performance Against the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Strategic Goals for the 2023/24 financial year. • Quarterly Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Reports. • Group Internal Audit (GIA) Assurance Reports on the ESG Report. • RWF Corporate Social Investment Responsibility (CSR) Projects Report. • Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) Reports. • Stakeholder Engagements and Encroachments Reports and Update re: Perception Survey. • Ethics Management Reports. • Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Report. • Revised ESG Reporting Framework for the Group. • Proposed 2025 Annual Corporate Calendar. • Proposed 2024/25 financial year SEC Annual Workplan. • Revised Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Policy. • Climate Change Policy. • Briefing on the Ethics Risk Assessment (ERA) Approach. • Proposed 2025 SEC Training Schedule. • Group’s Disaster Management Strategy and Plan. • Annual ESG Report for the 2023/24 Financial Year. • Proposed 2025/26 financial year Draft Annual Shareholders’ Compact. • Rand Water’s Climate Change Strategy and Plan. • Global Reporting Standards - Human Capital Management Component of the ESG Report. • Report on the Panfontein Water Treatment Residue Management Plant.
