Transfers

Transfers include the movement of assets between property, plant and equipment, non-current assets held for sale and/or intangible assets. Included in other adjustments is an amount of R55.7 million, which relates to a reallocation between assets under construction (AUC) within property, plant and equipment and intangible assets.

Impairment and reversal of impairment

The carrying amounts of intangible assets within the scope of IAS 38 are reviewed annually and adjusted (if required) to determine whether there is any indication of impairment, with the exception of intangible assets with a finite useful life. These assets are reviewed for impairment whenever events or changes in circumstances indicate that the carrying amount may not be recoverable. There was no indication of impairment on the intangible assets identified during the current reporting period.
