BULK SANITATION PROJECT (SECONDARY ACTIVITIES)

Bulk Sanitation projects are aligned with the Minister’s directive designating Rand Water as the implementing agent for the Vaal River System, in accordance with Section 63 of the Water Services Act. The primary focus of Bulk Sanitation includes refurbishment, rehabilitation, and upgrade of municipal water services infrastructure. Further, Bulk Sanitation is partnering with municipalities for management, operations and maintenance of the treatment plants, network and pump stations. Key successes during the reporting period were anchored in two (2) flagship initiatives: the Vaal River System Intervention and the Emfuleni Section 63 Intervention.
