Printing SA Annual Report 2024/2025
Revenue increased steadily, driven by growth in training income, particularly from face-to-face sessions, strong attendance and sponsorship at Chamber events, and continued support from FP&M SETA funding initiatives. The Chamber maintained a healthy operating margin and achieved a net surplus, allowing for reinvestment into member services, training development, and operational improvements. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): • Training Sales: Up by 18%, with strong uptake in both technical and soft skills courses. • Consulting Services: Labour and skills development consulting remained a core service, with high member satisfaction. • Events: Six major events hosted, with record attendance and positive feedback. • Membership Retention: Maintained a high retention rate, with several new companies joining the Chamber. OPERATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS In early 2024, the Cape Chamber was impacted by a national restructure within Printing SA, resulting in the departure of our Office Administrator, Desdemona Arendorf. Her contribution over the years was invaluable, and we thank her for her dedication and service. For a period, the Chamber operated with only two staff members, which placed pressure on operations. However, in July 2024, we welcomed Brandon Bok as our new Member Services Consultant. This role was redefined to focus on member engagement, with the goal of strengthening relationships and providing more direct support. Brandon brings industry knowledge and technical expertise, enabling him to assist members with queries ranging from production challenges to compliance and training needs. Major Achievements: • Women in Print Luncheon: A celebration of female leadership and innovation in the industry.
