A concerted effort is being made to engage the youth to encourage them to carry the club flag for another 30 years. A warm welcome to our new members. Our youngest member is 19 and the oldest 75 years old. Age is only a number and our older members are often seen on the Winner’s podium. Our club currently has a membership of 56 players. We sadly lost Manish (Monty) Devchand and Lloyd Naidoo in March and December last year. Monty was brother to me, after sharing a friendship for over 50 years. I was blessed to have played golf around the world with him. Our last trip together was Scotland in July 2022, where we played seven rounds in seven days. Monty and Lloyd both loved their golf, and were gentlemen both on and off the course. They were part of our Lotus Family and their sudden loss has left us devastated and heartbroken. We pray they are resting in peace and enjoying a round in the golfing heavens. I extend my heartfelt thanks to all our members, sponsors and volunteers for their ongoing support and dedication. Your passion and commitment make our “Lotus Family” a special place to be. I am confident the Lotus Golf Club will continue to thrive as a vibrant hub of friendship, laughter and camaraderie. Together, let us embrace the joy of golf and bonds of friendship that unite us. Cheers to another 30 years… Yours in golf,
Jay Naka Chairman
