After an epic 25 th Anniversary Celebration, it gives me great pleasure to present the Chairman’s report for 2024; the year we celebrate our club’s 30 th Anniversary. As we began 2020, the Covid 19 pandemic had reached South Africa. We were locked down and our weekly golf game was a thing of the past. As time CHAIRMAN’S REPORT

progressed, golf courses re-opened with restrictions in place. We found ourselves having to wear masks when checking in, putting with the flagstick still in and the boots of our cars became the 19 th hole. With all of the restrictions, we managed to enjoy a round of golf and socialise with our fellow players under the radar. We hosted two tournaments in 2020, prior to Covid. Thereafter, in 2021 we returned to our usual number of tournaments. Throughout the challenges and disruptions, our club remained united and resilient. The dedication and enthusiasm of our members have been the driving force behind our success. The following members are part of the current executive committee: Arvind Rowjee – Secretary Jagdeesh (Jack) Bhana – Treasurer Navin Chhiba – Records Clerk Indran Naidoo – Tournament Director My heartfelt gratitude to the executive committee for their selfless assistance and efforts in the running of the club. A special thanks to Jack Bhana who has served on the committee since inception. Gratitude and thanks to our Ex-chairman, Surendra Mistry who continues to serve the club in the background. A club is only as strong as its members.
