Programme 1 B: Legal Services Purpose: To promote the improvement of the right of access to information and the right to privacy by examining any proposed legislation or policy of government that the Regulator considers may affect the protection of personal information of data subjects and reporting to the Minister of Justice and Correctional Services and Parliament on the results of that examination, in terms of sections 40(1)(b)(iii) and 40(1)(b)(ix) of POPIA.
