EDUCATION LABOUR RELATIONS COUNCIL | 2023/24 ANNUAL REPORT

1. INTRODUCTION The overall performance of the Council for the 2023/24 financial year is consistent with the performance recorded in the 2022/23 financial year. In terms of collective bargaining at the national level, noteworthy collective agreements were concluded, which seek to improve the quality of education in public schools.

In terms of DMS, the Council implemented a number of measures to deal with disputes in a proactive manner.

The support services of the Council played a major role in ensuring the smooth operations of the ELRC. Consequently, all support functions achieved 100% during the period under review.
