It is the Committee’s responsibility to ensure commensurate assurance levels are achieved to satisfy itself that risks are managed within approved risk appetite levels. Conclusion Based on the information provided by management, internal audit and external audit, the committee considers that these statements comply, in all material respects, with the International Financial Reporting Standards, the requirements of the Companies Act and the PFMA, and the basis of preparation as set out in the accounting policies in note 1.3 of the annual financial statements. The committee concurs that adopting the going concern assumption in preparing the annual financial statements is appropriate. At its meeting on 31 July 2023, the committee recommended the approval of the annual financial statements to the Board.
