A big welcome to the new Minister, Honourable Parks Tau. Initial engagements indicate an ambitious programme for the new administration and a positive outlook for mutually beneficial engagements between the Corporation and the Ministry. We look forward to collaborating closely with Minister Tau and his esteemed team to further enhance the global competitiveness of our industries. A future view The short-term insurance strategy and ESG matters have progressed well during the year. These items will continue to be standing items on the Board and sub-committee agendas. The Export Passport Programme provides the opportunity for the dtic family to launch new export networks and enable selected exporter companies

to undergo an exporter incubation programme that will provide them with a customised export passport scheme which will assist them in entering or increase their contribution in the export value chain. The ECIC Export Passport Facility makes $90 million available annually for this short-term insurance strategy. The success of this Facility will be vital to the new administration’s vision of export-led economic growth as the Corporation seeks to fill the market gap for lower-value trade finance support to South African SMMEs.
