Security services for DSI events.

1. Users hosting an event must send an email to Security Management informing them about the event three months before the event. 2. DSI Security will register the event with SAPS and/or the State Security Agency (SSA). 3. DSI Security in collaboration with the user and other relevant stakeholders, coordinate the provision of security for the event. 4. Security provides progress reports on the safety and security measures for the planned event in the planning meetings. 5. On the day of the event, Security unit ensures security measures are provided at an appropriate level. 1. All DSI officials must be vetted, although priority is given to SMS members and officials working in areas regarded as critical (e.g. SCM, IT, the Registry, the Ministry, and officials seconded outside South Africa).
