The UNGA75 high-level segment reaffirmed the

importance of multilateralism. It was an opportunity for the international community to display solidarity in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. COVID-19 brought to the fore the reality that contemporary global challenges require global solutions and that no country acting alone is capable of resolving them 12. Prepared for, and participated in the 64th resumed Session of the Commission on the Status of Women, 14 July 2020 85% of South Africa’s interests were reflected in the following resolutions adopted under the silence procedures: • release of women and children taken hostage, including those subsequently imprisoned, in armed conflicts • women, the girl child and HIV and AIDS
