21 to 25 September 2020 South Africa promoted its

position on the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes through national statements in the plenary and other side events. South Africa further strengthened cooperation with the IAEA for capacity- building in South Africa and Africa 11. Prepared for and participated in the UNGA75 General Debate, 22 September 2020 Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the General Debate and high-level meetings of UNGA75 took place virtually from 18 September to 02 October 2020, under the theme: “The Future We Want, the UN We Need: Reaffirming our Collective Commitment to Multilateralism”
