The meeting shared best practices on national measures that are being implemented by the Member States and Dialogue Partners in dealing with the COVID 19 pandemic. IORA Chairship: It is important to note that South Africa handed over the Chairship to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for a period of two years and Bangladesh assumed the Vice Chairship vacated by the UAE for the same period of 2019 – 2021. South Africa, as the outgoing Chair, presented the UAE, as incoming Chair, with a “Handing-over Report” with the objective to serve as a guideline in fostering continuity and ensuring conclusion on outstanding matters. This was the first time that such a report was presented by the outgoing IORA Chair
