Acknowledgement/s or Appreciation In conclusion, the Department extends its appreciation for the guidance and stewardship provided by the MEC Mr Jacob Mamabolo for the Department of Infrastructure Development. Further appreciation is extended to oversight structures Infrastructure Portfolio Committee, the Audit Committee, Client Departments, as well as the Office of the Premier and the Auditor-General for ensuring that the Department continues to vigilantly deliver on the mandate and account to South African citizens. It is the responsibility of the officials to ensure that all gifts and donations received are disclosed in the gift register. Through inspection of the register, the Department has noted that no one has received gifts and donations during the year 2024/25. • Exemptions and deviations received from the National Treasury There had been no exemption or deviation reported to the relevant treasury. SCM had reported projects or services to the Gauteng Treasury where the threshold varied by more than 15% for goods and services or 20% for construction projects as per Instruction Note 3 of 2021/22. • Events after the reporting date After the reporting period Emergency Unit within Tembisa Hospital and Riverlea High School caught fire. This is a non-adjusting event since the fire incident occurred after 31 March 2025. The extent of the damage has not yet been confirmed; however, no fatalities were reported. • Other There are no other matters for reporting in the financial year under review.
