2 In line with the announcement of the new Gauteng government, The Department paid a salary for the previous MEC from April 2024 to July 2024 and thereafter a new MEC was appointed to the Department. A decrease in political office bearers’ expenditure is because the MEC is currently being compensated by the Gauteng Department of Co operative governance and traditional affairs as he is the MEC for both Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development and Gauteng Department of Co-operative governance and traditional affairs. Increase in key management personnel is in line with annual salary increase for government officials and additional members that were brought in to assist with key decisions that ensures full implementation of Departmental mandate.
