Conditional grants are incentive grants given to the EPWP. The grant has decreased from R21,1 million to R18,9 million as a result of budget adjustments that took place because of fewer trainings conducted as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions. • The grant allocation for the 2021/22 financial year was fully utilized, however, the Conditional Grant has been declining over the years. • Conditional grants are allocated based on the duration of the projects implemented and the Full Time Equivalents (FTE-230 days of work) over the previous period. • During 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 the scale and duration of projects was limited due to Covid limitation of numbers within working and training spaces.
